Nine Standards - 8 Colour Silkscreen Landscape Print

The Nine Standards are a row of large stone cairns that sit prominently atop Hartley Fell, on the edge of Cumbria.

Visiting on a hazy winter’s morning provided me with quite an eerie experience. Very still and with no-one else around, the Nine Stone Men seemed to have a disctinct presence and I had the strangest feeling that they were aware of my approach.

This experience is what I have chosen to capture in my print, looking up at the ancient stones from the last stretch of path.

'Nine Standards' is an 8 colour screenprint, hand-printed with water based inks on 300gsm, acid free, Canaletto Velino art grade paper.

Each print comes with a map & signed certificate of authenticity.

It's a very limited edition of 30 and is numbered, titled, signed, and embossed at the bottom. It is approx 412 x 412 mm in size.

This print is sold unframed, and is sent carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue, then bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube.

UK Postage is included in the price of this print.

NOTE 1: due to the complexity of this print, there are tiny variations throughout the edition. In particular there are differences in the sky layer (as this was printed with an ink blend) - the prominence of the band of pink colour accross the top differs from print to print. I have not included any print in the edition which I was not happy with but if you have any concerns please drop me a line and I'd be happy to provide a preview photo of the print prior to sending.
